The Hand Forged Railroad Spike Knife features a classic drop point design with a blade measuring approximately 5 inches in length, a handle measuring approximately 3.75 inches, and an overall length of approximately 9 inches. Due to the nature of being hand-forged, appearances and dimensions will vary slightly. The blade is polished to a satin finish, sharpened by hand, and finished with a leather strop for a razor-sharp edge.
Finish Options
Polished: A brighter, bare steel finish achieved with a wire brush for those who prefer a cleaner look to the knife.
Forged: A darker finish achieved by leaving the scale from the forging process on the blade and handle, for those who prefer a more rustic look.
Sheath
Sheaths are handmade from carefully selected 6 - 8 oz veg-tan leather. The welt is both glued and double-stitched. The sheath is finished with a neatsfoot oil soak to preserve and protect the leather. The sheath has a dark brown finish.
